Palo Alto Weather
Palo Alto, California is a beautiful place to live. It is filled with a mild climate and many blue sky days with beautiful white puffy clouds.
The weather averages around 58 degrees through the year and the high's are typically in the high 80's during the HOT months. The summer seems short compared to may other parts of the United States. It gets warm around July and will stay warm until October. Of course warm is really around the mid-70's. The area is on what is called the 'Peninsula', which is the western side of the South San Francisco Bay.
The inland areas, closer to the East Bay and further east experience very hot temperatures during the summer months. We hear about the heat from areas like Pleasanton, Livermore and Tracy. Further south, towards Gilroy; home of the world famous Garlic Festival, has similar hot temperatures during the summer.
Of course, heading north towards the city of San Francisco, it is always best to take a jacket, for you never know how soon a sunny day becomes a foggy day. Temperatures can be considered a heatwave once over 65 degrees! #crazyhot
Palo Alto Home Choices
As nice as it might be to have a single family home in Palo Alto, the most affordable, 'starter homes' are condominimums. The condo market is plentiful at the moment with condos in the area ranging from $900,000 to over $2,000,000. Here is an example of a local area condominium residence. While the condo's seem to be good choices, the homeowner association fees can be on the high side, ranging above $500 to over $1,000 per month.

Summer Fun
I would love to share that most residents were outside playing sports at anyone of the city's most beautiful parks, that was not exactly the truth.
It seems that there was an outbreak of Pokemon Go-itis in the area and it was so rampant that even a few of our beloved pets were involved in the outbreak! Of course, most did not seem to care very much; as seen in this photo to your right.
Hopefully, this short introduction to the weather, housing and summer activities gives you a little insight ino our community of Palo Alto, CA.
